Reinstallation of the driver will be required when 1. The Synaptics PS/2 TouchPad driver is deleted from Mice and other pointing devices in Device Manager, and a new and different device driver is installed. 2. The drivers of Japanese PS/2 Keyboard (106/109 key Ctrl + Alphanumerics), 101/102 English Keyboard or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard is deleted or updated from Keyboard in Device Manager. 3. Synaptics TouchPad is deleted using Add or Remove Programs. 4. The contents of Mouse Properties are the same as those of Standard PS/2 Mouse Properties. 5. All the items shown in the Function tab of Mouse Properties are diabled and the settings cannot be changed. Note: If the Recovery CD-ROM of the VAIO computer consists of 2 CDs, use System Recovery CD-ROM VOL. 2 of 2. If there are 3 CDs, use System Recovery CD-ROM VOL. 3 of 3. When Completing the Hardware Update Wizard appears, click Finish. 15. Remove the Recovery CD and click Close. 16. Restart the VAIO computer. B. When the System Recovery CD-ROM is not used Note: If the sub-folder of C:drivers has not been deleted or changed, reinstallation can be carried out without the use of the Recovery CD. However, it is recommended that the Recovery CD is used. The procedures are the same as above except Steps 11, 12 and 15. Please replace with the steps below accordingly. 11. Click Have Disk. 12.
